Is your country switching to digital TV signals?
Many countries around the globe are phasing out their analogue free-to-air TV signals and will be replaced with digital signals.

If you use an indoor aerial, you might consider checking it first to make sure it will work with digital picture.
Borrowing a friend’s set top box rather than buying one would be a good idea, just in case it doesn’t work.
Unlike rooftop aerials, reception of different channels varies when you are using an indoor antenna. You may need to try to move the position of the antenna around the house to get a good reception. Locating it near the window or higher up may improve the quality of the picture.
